Our Story
It all started when Mokhir and Mun met in a 24hr convenience store in Malaysia back in 2014. Believe it or not, it was friendship at first sight!
Mokhir was an IT undergrad from Uzbekistan while Mun was a Veteran Creative from Singapore. Even though both were as different as chalk and cheese, they became really close friends.
Fast forward to 2017, Mokhir graduated while Mun was in his 30th year of working in Malaysia. Their friendship was still going strong despite the age difference. And they wanted to turn this friendship into a business partnership.
Once over coffee, they randomly came up with the idea of starting an eCommerce platform that people from all over the world could actually trust. This was half the battle won. The other half was to find a suitable name that truly reflects them as a brand.
That’s when Uzdeal originated (inspired from ‘Us’, the true bond of Mokhir’s & Mun’s friendship) which finally turned into a reality in 2019.
In the same year, Mokhir met Hasan through his work. Hasan was a Bangladeshi IT Developer who joined the Uzdeal team. And together these three founders started the march towards realizing their goal and mission.
In 2020, Uzdeal has finalized the key markets for the platform after thorough research. We’re working together day and night to make online shopping a convenient experience for all our customers. In the future, we envision also expand our operations in Uzbekistan, Mokhir’s native land, along with several other countries.
